DEMURRAGE CHARGES ON IMPORT CARGO
- The free Period would be 72 hours (i.e. 3 working days).
- Calculation of free period would start from Actual Time of Arrival (ATA) of the cargo at GSECL- godown.
- Prevailing Business Hours have been extended up to 20:00 Hrs. (i.e. 10.00 am to 8.00 pm)
- Number of hours applicable for demurrage will be calculated as time between Actual Time of Arrival of cargo at GSECL godown. Each 24 hrs cycle will be 01 day and any part thereof will be counted as full day.
- After expiry of the stipulated free period, next 48 hrs will be charged on per kg per day non cumulative basis, inclusive of holidays, provided the consignment is cleared within 120 hours from ATA.
- After expiry Period of 120 hrs, Demurrage Charges will be levied on cumulative basis inclusive of holidays from the date and actual time of arrival of the Cargo, as follows :-

OVERTIME CHARGES:
Overtime will be charged @ Rs. 300.00 per shipping bill/Air way Bill for three hours before 10.00 a.m. and after 8.00 p.m. on working days. Sundays and Holidays, Import and export clearance will be given on double overtime basis only during 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. only subject to custom permission.
Clearance and examinations of import and export consignment from 8.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. will be carried out on overtime basis subject to importer / CHA files an application before 7.00 p.m. together with the charges. Lifting papers of export cargo after 8.00 p.m. will be given on over time basis.
CANCELLATION / AMENDMENT CHARGES
Cancellation charges per Export Shipping Bill and per import Bill of Entry, once the application is submitted will be Rs. 175:
If cancellation is requested by the importer/exporter/CHA after office timings i.e.8.00 p.m., Overtime charges will be applicable.
Duplicate copy charges will be Rs. 200/- per document.

NOTES:
- Consignment of Human Remains, Coffins and Human Eyes will be exempted from the purview of handling and demurrage charges.
- All charges will be levied on the chargeable weight as per Air Way Bill or the actual weight whichever is higher.
- Valuable cargo means cargo, which has average value of Rs. 30,000 or more per kg. other than Gold, Currency notes, Diamonds etc.
- All bills to be rounded off to nearest Rs. 1.
- For Miss-declaration of the weight above 2% and up to 5% of declared weight, penal charges @ double the applicable charges will be levied. For variation above 5% the penal charges will be leviable @ 5 times the applicable charges of the differential weight. No penal charges will be leviable for variation up to 2 %.

Several agencies have approached us to re-look at tariff for courier services at Ahmadabad. We are pleased to revise the rates w.e.f 1st October 2008 as under:-

Facilities charges will be collected by M/s GSEC Limited. X-ray charges will be collected by M/s Amigo Logistics
Applicable taxes will be charged extra.
Demurrage charges will be levied as per tariff for general cargo.
This facility will be available only from 2 pm to 10 pm for custom clearance purpose.
GSECL welcomes all the courier agencies to this new facility.
In continuation with our tariff dated 1st Feb 2006, following charges are made w.e.f 1st August, 2008.
- Cargo consisting of gold, bullion, currency notes, securities, shares, share coupons, travelers cheques, diamond (including diamonds for industrial use), diamond jewellery & watches made of silver, gold platinum and items shall now be categorized as Valuable cargo in cases where their value is USD 1000 per Kg. & above.
- Clearance and examinations of import and export consignment till 8.30 P.M. will be carried out without overtime. No clearance and examination would be done after 8.30 PM. No papers for import clearance will be accepted after 8.30 PM.
- Once import cargo qualifies for auction and notice is issued to parties concerned, they will have to pay auction & valuation fees of Rs. 1500 per consignment if they wish to clear cargo themselves before it goes for auction.
- Agencies carrying out services like fumigation and palletisation in the air cargo complex area will now have to follow following procedure w.e.f.18th August 2008.
- All agencies will have to register themselves with GSEC Limited. Registration process would include filling up a registration form and payment of yearly fees of Rs. 1000 per agency. The registration will be valid for one year.
- Once registration is done, the agencies will be required to submit list of names and photographs of persons authorized to carry out work in the ACC area. Temporary cards will be issued to agency personnel within 5 days of submission of this list.
- The palletisation agencies will be charged Rs. 50 per pallet for palletisation activity at the cargo complex. The charges will be payable in advance.
