The Corporation is working towards becoming a role model in India for Air Cargo operations by creating an environment conducive to infrastructure growth with a focussed approach to customer satisfaction. To help achieve this goal, the following initiatives were taken:

• Upgrading of existing Export and Import Godowns.
• Expanding Godown space by building an additional godown shed.
• Establishing a new COLD STORAGE for movement of perishable and pharma products.
• Adding equipments like FORK LIFTS, STACKERs, etc.
• Computerizing operations to comply with Customs' requirements.
• Co-ordinating with government authorities to ensure more foreign airlines operate from Ahmedabad.

The management organises frequent meetings with Customs, Airlines, CHA's, Airport Authority, CISF, Cantonment, etc., to help ensure air cargo operations are regularly moderated to progress towards a customer friendly environment while involving all concerned with the trade in a positive manner.

GSECL works towards creating an environment whereby Air Cargo movement from Ahmedabad becomes "Hazzle Free". Today, the volume of business has increased due to a favourable working environment in the Air Cargo Complex and for which credit goes to everyone connected with the Trade as well as concerned government authorities who have contributed positively.

This performance has been possible because of continuous monitoring and follow up by GSECL while co-ordinating with Customs, Airport Authority, Asst. Drug Controller, CHA's, Airlines, etc. GSECL has been taking the initiative for frequent meetings and dialogue with the industry in order to understand any difficulties, hurdles, Government related issues, procedural delays, etc. they may be facing. In recent times the import export industry approaches GSECL to take the leadership role and help solve industry problems.

Similarly, for importers we collect their requirement details alongwith specifications and utilizing our international contacts, we ensure their imports are as per specifications.
